Három hete, tikkasztó hőségben kezdtünk bele egy kisebb átalakításba. A kemencés műhely fala omladozott, muszáj volt megjavítani. Remekül haladtunk, én kipakoltam a mozaikos munkámat az almafa alá. Nagyon idilli volt pár napig a hangulat, mígnem megérkezett a várva-várt, enyhülést adó eső... csak azóta sem vonult tovább. A műhelyben egy hete áll a félcentis víz, a frissen vakolt fal nem tud száradni, a mozaik letakarva , és a pár napos betervezett balatoni pihenésem is meghiúsult. A Balaton csak "vágy" formájában jelentkezett, -viszont (az sem rossz) munka formájában realizálódott. Egy tihanyi borospincébe festettem az apátság látképét. A megrendelő egy mintacsempém alapján egy antik hatású képet képzelt el.

Three weeks ago, in the heat of the summer we started a small renovation of my studio. The walls were in terrible shape and needed to be replaced quite urgently. I moved my mosaic worktable outside, underneath the apple tree. Very romantic it was... for only two days. Then rain arrived and decided not to move on... So not only my work is being postponed but the construction is moving slower than predicted. Anyways, this is how it is. I was only dreaming of some time out at our cottage in Balaton... However this dream materialized in the form of an order. I was asked to paint the Abbey of Tihany for a wine cellar on the peninsula.( An amazing hungarian "mediterrano" by our lake Balaton.) I had to achieve the antique look that my client liked on one of my sample tiles. I made 8"x8" terracotta tiles and this time painted them with acrilycs only.
